Booking a hotel onlline, do I need the card I booked w/ at checkin?

I have a virtual card with funds on it I am looking to use...I am going to book a hotel online, but am wondering if booking with a virtual card, that is not. ... Ok, so if you paid for your room at the time you made your reservation, then the card you gave at that time will be the one the room is charged to.
